Ruach ( roo-akh ) רוח is the Hebrew word for spirit, breath, or wind.
Ruach’s mission is rooted in the belief that there is a connection binding all of humanity together - the very breath that brought the universe into existence. This breath is the source of my ability to create and innovate, and it is what drives me to help others see the greatness within themselves. I strive to bring out the full potential of each individual and showcase their unique talents and abilities through intentional design.
“Ruach” is the Hebrew word used as breath in the story of Genesis, where God intimately breathed into the nostrils of a man of dust, and through breath there was life. “Ruach” is next used in Exodus and interpreted as spirit when God’s spirit enabled and commissioned the artists to create. Our goal is to empower individuals who build beautiful things to tell their stories and bring to light the extraordinary largeness inside each individual.
Because of who created me, I am able to create.
Genesis 2:7
7 then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath(Ruach) of life, and the man became a living creature.
Exodus 35:31-35
31 and he has filled him with the Spirit(Ruach)of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, 32 to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze, 33 in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft. 34 And he has inspired him to teach, both him and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan. 35 He has filled them with the skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer.
